From blanket thieves to snoring, bad bedtime habits can undermine relationships. In fact, nearly 30 percent of U.S. couples admit they don’t spend the night together. During two TV appearances in Charlotte, North Carolina, nutrition and psychology expert Jonny Bowden, PhD, CNS, suggested that if snoring is driving a wedge between you and your partner, Mute may be an easy answer. On WCCB-TV and WBTV news programs, Bowden explained how Mute opens the nasal airway, which may curb snoring and enable a better, less stressful night’s rest for couples.

A snoring partner can keep you up all night. “I cannot tell you the number of relationships that get destroyed by snoring,” Bowden commented. “It’s not romantic … it winds up separating people.”

“You want to be able to share the bedroom with your husband,” agreed WCCB-TV co-host Kristine Zell. “You don’t want to sleep in separate beds.”

Sometimes snoring can be fixed with a very easy solution. During both programs, Bowden demonstrated how easily and comfortably Mute can be inserted into the nose. “This is an amazing little device that opens up your airway. This opens the nostrils up, and a rush of air comes through,” he commented.

In addition to improving relationships, better sleep is valuable for overall wellness. “We know, as nutritionists, as psychologists, that sleep is one of the most important and restorative things you can do. Neurochemicals rebalance and hormones are released [during sleep]. It’s really important,” agreed Bowden.

Other options he suggested included using a humidifier, refraining from smoking and alcohol, and taking magnesium.

Mute is available on our website, Amazon or at nearby drug stores. It comes in small, medium and large. Use our sizing guide to determine your best fit or buy a Trial pack and try all three. Mute nasal device is not for the treatment of sleep apnea.
